Mommy question

Hey breastfeeding moms, got a question... How much did you worry about what you ate affecting the baby? Or how much did you notice what you ate affecting the baby? I don't remember worrying about this with either of my other two. But after having two miserable nights w/ not much sleep this past weekend I am willing to live on Cheerios for the next few months in order to sleep. I don't even know if what I ate this past weekend had anything to do w/ being up w/ Nathan or not, but it's hard not to wonder. So what is your experience?

check it out

Hey, the links on the side to Stephen and Lexie's pages have changed. I thought I could build them myself, but that was too time-consuming w/ this blog's set-up. So, I discovered a site called Totsites and have decided to try and do individual pages for each of the kids. Don't know how often they'll get updated now that I have three, but I'd like to think I'll try. Anyways, make me feel better and go check them out.

To open or not to open

The weather here is finally cooling off and the air feels more appropriate to October and my front yard covered in leaves and acorns. This makes me so happy. It happens to be my favorite time of year. I like spring well enough and I love summer, but I really love autumn. Today we have had our windows open all day and just the ceiling fans going. I would love to sleep with the windows open tonight, but am afraid.
I am afraid because just last week our church was broken into and robbed. Someone busted out a back window and stole radio and computer equipment, leaving quite a mess behind. Our church is only like half a mile down the road from us. We, like our church, don't have any kind of alarm system. And actually, we, like our church, don't really have a lot to steal. But somebody did. It's not like wether a few of our windows are cracked or not would really make a big difference in someone breaking into our house. Statistically, how many break-ins happen when the burglers know the house is full of sleeping people? I'm not sure I want to know the answer to that question in order to be able to sleep. Don't get me wrong - I trust in the living God and in his sovereign plan for my life and my family. But I am a mommy with fresh hormones, so forgive me for having a few late night fears about something keeping me from getting to my children when they are in danger or even just afraid. Do these fears ever keep other parents up? I pray and entrust us to the Lord and eventually I fall asleep (on the nights these things bother me), but I'm still not so sure about sleeping with the windows open tonight. Dadgum burglers are really cramping my enjoyment of my favorite season.
